A place for you to work on your self

welcome to the Crane!

The 50 minutes you spend working with me is an opportunity for personal growth beyond the physical work. Yes, physical stuff is addressed and focused on, and what I offer is also a period of time and space for reverence and self-reflection, to feel good, to assess where you are at, to feel seen and heard.

what to expect

At The Crane, we teach movement sessions to the whole person, and continue to stay up to date and fresh on exercise science and protocols.

Introduction sessions will involve taking a quick look at how you move, what injuries you have, and what your goals are. We move and try to have fun.

Clients are welcomed into an encouraging atmosphere of investigation and exploration. The expectation is for you to gain autonomy and confidence in movement. We will set goals and make a plan to achieve those goals.

Pilates is a mind-body movement practice that integrates conscious breath and movement. At The Crane, we incorporate strength training into the classical and contemporary Pilates repertoire. Sarah Beth teaches through a progressive approach of Pilates based movement, integrating four decades of movement and healing knowledge.

MAT VERSUS EQUIPMENT?

Equipment is fun. Mat work is challenging. And vice versa. Both strategies provide opportunities for growth and movement.

The Pilates Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel are designed to give your body feedback and resistance so you can better understand how you move your body in space. My role is to guide and provide specific, hands on feedback as well, so that your session is bolstered with knowledge and care.

If you have any questions about whether starting a Pilates practice is the right thing for you, please feel free to email or call and I will answer any questions and concerns as fully as possible. I love questions!
